Spironolactone for acne use?
Ok so i’ve done quite a bit of research on almost anything and this has really got my hopes up!! but i’m 17! all the reviews i’ve read so far are written by women in their 20′s or 30′s. If I were to ask my der for this do you reckon i’d get it? *hopes*

I have prescribed spironolactone, on occasion, to women your age. But, the drug is not a “stand alone” drug, but used in combination with other medications, generally antibiotics. And, I use it in those cases in which the hormonal levels of testosterone are a bit elevated, or there is clear evidence of androgen excess.It’s best to let your dermatologist determine what is the correct treatment for you.
