Dianette contraceptive pill for acne question..?

So, yesterday my doctor prescribed me dianette for my moderate acne,
I’ve heard mixed reviews about it so i’m kinda unsure about taking it or not,
+ i have quite severe emetophobia (fear of vomitting) and i know that it’s one of the symptoms?
+ Also i’ve heard it makes you gain weight, and i’m quite self concious about that.. =/
+ Mostly i’m worried about coming off of it, because i’ve heard that once youve been on it for say 6 months and you acne has gone, if you come off of it then it comes back worse and makes your skin really greasy..? and my plan is to come off of it STRAIGHT after my acne has cleared because im quite worried about what it can cause like blood clots and cancer.. so i wanna come off it as soon as i can..
Please comment and just let me know about your experience with Dianette or any birth control you’ve used for acne

Hi! My answer won’t be able to give you an opinion but i’m in exactly the same boat as you.
I’m 20 years old and I’ve read alot of nasty reviews, worrying to say the least but the good reviews are great reviews. I think it’s one extreme to the other.
I’ve only moderate acne and I asked my doctor about the possibilities of it becoming just as worse when I come of it, and she said that after my hormones are regulated I shouldn’t have any bother when I finish my course (I wonder).
The weight gain I asked about she said was minute, like if even a pound or two.
I’m focusing on the good reviews, but like with everything, the side affect list has to cover. Check the side effects of Panadol (Paracetamol!) – Amnesia, rash, suicied attempt, anorexia..
They are extreme. And remember, for people that it works for, they’re not going to come on the internet to say it was great, people are more likely to come on and vent their frustration to some medication that doesn’t work, well that’s what I think anyway.
